Parallel Computer Implementation for Feature Extraction via Answer-in-Weights Neural Network

An inverse neural network – Answer-in-Weights [ VKK95 ] – is applied to parallel neurocomputer (MY NEUPOWER) for the purposes of image decomposition and compression, the latter being based on omitting image components which are not significant for the image presentation. Results from workstation and parallel neurocomputer simulations are given. The advantages and shortcoming of the method are presented. Possible further improvements are discussed.
