Enhanced partial distortion search algorithm for block motion estimation

A block matching algorithm for fast motion estimation based on partial block distortion is presented, which can reduce the computational complexity and provide accurate motion vectors. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm shows its performance very close to the full search while it is about 18 to 22 times faster than the full search.
