Efficient inline caching without dynamic translation

Stefan Brunthaler · 2010

Inline caching is a very important optimization technique for interpreters, effectively eliminating the overhead in dynamic typing. Unfortunately, inline caches are mostly used together with dynamic translation, which is expensive in terms of implementation costs. We present efficient inlinecaching techniques that do not require dynamic translation.
