A low-complexity high-performance Bluetooth receiver

C. Tibenderana, Stephan Weiss · 2003

This paper presents an implementation of a GFSK receiver based on matched filtering of a sequence of successive bits. This enables improved detection and superior BER performance but requires matched filters of considerable complexity. Exploiting redundancy, and performing phase propagation of successive single-bit stages, we propose a new receiver structure of low complexity. Simulation results presented highlight the benefits of proposed method in terms of computational cost and performance compared to standard methods. 1.
