The junior college as a source of programming personnel

In many organizations there is a constant need for Junior programmers - those with the lowest amounts of experience (6 to 18 months) and salaries considerably below the salaries ordinarily commanded by programmers with three or four years of experience. The organizations which have been able to use this type of programmer to advantage usually have a large data processing department (50 or more analysts and programmers) with highly skilled and experienced systems analysts and system designers. The skill of the system designers makes the use of Junior programmers an economical and practical course of action.
