Rasim Mahammad Alguliyev, T. Kh. Fataliev, B. S. Agaev, T. S. Aliev · Telecommunications and Radio Engineering · 2009

The state, problems, and ways for organization and application of sensor networks that today are considered one of the most urgent and promising technologies are analyzed. A generalized block diagram of sensor networks is presented; application fields are classified; and prospects for development are demonstrated. It is noted that implementation of Internet-based sensor networks opens broad opportunities for a distributed processing of information for control, motoring, and management of natural resources in an extensive geographical space.
