Threshold Estimation for Wavelet Domain Filtering of Signal-dependent Noise

This paper presents a method for signal denoising in the case of varying noise proportional to the local signal intensity. The signals are processed in a wavelet domain with a non-uniform threshold adjusted to the noise level.
