Extracting meaning from volumetrically displayed data

This paper describes experience using a volumetric workstation to extract meaning from complex transparent data. The hardware and software of the workstation are briefly summarized, and initial experience is reported. Medical data has primarily been studied, but the techniques should apply to other types of data.
