BYOT Network Solutions for Enterprise Environment
Arya Sedigh, Carlene E.-A. Campbell, Kapilan Radhakrishnan · 2014
To date, there have been many developments in Communications Networks which have resulted in the complex structure of Internetworks. To tackle this complexity and achieve the peak performance and security in such implementations, various network management practices are introduced. The scope of this paper is to study the impact that the novel concept of Bring Your Own Technology (BYOT) will have on an existing enterprise network infrastructure. There are certain steps that can be taken both before and after planning and deployment of an enterprise AS structure, to ensure high levels of availability, reliability, security and even cost efficiency. Recommendations have been given based on analysis of the results collected from OPNET simulations of BYOT architectures. The aim of this paper is to produce general guidelines for sound Network Management practice, by analysing the technologies used in the Proposed Network Design through extensive simulation modelling.
