Fitting data to the johnson system

The paper is concerned with selection of a distribution from the three transformation distribution families in the Johnson systeam to fit data by matching percentiles. It is noted that hte existing procedures are incapable of discriminating the Johnson distributions when the true distribution belongs to the SL distribution family. A modified selection procedure is proposed and is proven to be consistent.
