Use of nonlinear least mean squares fitting to achieve compensated electrical filters
Ann H. Sanders, David S. Cannell · Review of Scientific Instruments · 1980
The results of using nonlinear least-mean-squares fitting procedures to compensate passive electrical filters for the effects of frequency-dependent losses in the inductors by changes in the other components are reported. This technique, when applied to third- and fifth-order low-pass Chebysheff filters, resulted in actual transfer functions which were essentially identical to the ideal transfer functions. Filters having cutoff frequencies ranging from 300 Hz to 3 MHz were constructed and tested.
