In the paper An Approach to Active Spatial Min- ing Based on Statistical Information, authors Wei Wang, Jiong Yang, and Richard Muntz propose data mining algo- rithm to efficiently support user-defined triggers on dy- namically evolving spatial data. It is shown that a new hi- erarchical triggering strategy which introduces subtriggers can improve the performance by three orders of magnitude compared with naive approach.
