Flexibility of the Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA) draws enormous attention from varied sectors of embedded systems community. Multiple tasks can be run sequentially or in parallel on FPGA by utilizing dedicated set of gates. High-speed FPGA platform enables designer to use the reconfigurable logic for efficient and cost-effective online implementation of signal processing algorithms. This paper presents an overview of Graphical programming on FPGA with LabVIEW, which overcomes the conventional coding challenges in designing an FPGA. Real time implementation of adaptive speech enhancement (SE) algorithm for the noisy Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) environment is presented to demonstrate the coding flexibility of LabVIEW on FPGA and performance improvement in terms of speed.
