A structured approach to FMS modelling

Structured approaches to systems analysis have proved successful in software engineering. We propose a methodology for applying such techniques in FMS design. The paper outlines a number of structured tools and assesses their role in building a functional model for FMS. In addition, a research project is described which utilizes such a model in developing a generic, user orientated simulation system for FMS
