A Survey of Parallelism in Numerical Analysis

The recent development of parallel processors has stimulated the production of studies of aspects of parallelism in computation. Among these studies is a group dealing with numerical analysis. A survey of a number of these studies of parallelism in numerical analysis is presented here. The subjects represented are optimization, root finding, differential equations and solutions of linear systems.
