A HIGH‐Speed LAN Model Using an Information‐Updating Algorithm

Abstract Local area networks (LANs) such as Ethernet provide cheap, high‐speed communications. Here we present a new high‐speed local area network model in which the LAN is configured with node‐processors which halt and/or recover asynchronously. We also propose an algorithm for dealing with the problem of information‐updating with a proof of the correctness of the algorithm.
