Design and evaluation of a low-cost, high-speed signal amplifier

A dc to 500 MHz amplifier design is described that has excellent performance. Surface mount technologies with present generation high-speed current-feedback operational amplifiers enabled the development of a low-cost circuit. The implemented design is robust and exhibits low noise.
