Invariant parameters of measurement scales

Parameter functions are functions of scales. We define the absolute invariance, reference invariance and comparison invariance of parameter functions, and derive some properties of and methods of constructing invariant parameter functions. The results are discussed in relation to the invariance of statistical parameters.
