Experimental audio-based device discovery between PC and Smartphone

A new method of audio-based device discovery between PC and Smartphone is proposed in this paper. The encoded IP address is sent from Smartphone's speaker to PC's microphone. The decoding of DTMF tones is fully achieved by software-based DSP and this paper will also discuss how to improve the decode success rate by using low pass filters and a moving window of the signal sampling.
