The effect of humidity variation on the operation of an electronic proximity switch
Richard Long · Journal of Scientific Instruments · 1953
A survey of information on the effect of humidity variation on the capacitance of air gap condensers shows that the reason for departure from the theoretical variation is not fully understood. The effect on a laboratory and industrial control instrument, which utilizes the capacitance of an electrode to earth, is determined, and precautions to be taken to ensure stability are recommended.
