A necessary part of a student self-paced course is a quick, efficient and manageable way to examine each student over a section of material which he feels he has mastered. While reviewing large amounts of literature, varying solutions to this problem were uncovered, but none which exactly answered the author's particular needs. The solution to the problem took the form of a test generation program to be written in Assembler language to run on the IBM 360/50 computer.
