A description is given of what FMX stereo radio broadcasting can and cannot do. Encoding specifications, compatibility with other subcarrier services, transmitter tuning, and separation compatibility are discussed. The cause and effect relationships of the various transmission impairments of FMX compatibility are summarized. Reception improvements are identified.>
