Some procedures for analyzing implications grids are reviewed, and their limitations are highlighted. It is argued that an hierarchical or quasi-order model is a natural model for implications grid data. The model is consistent with the theoretical positions of both Kelly (1955) and Hinkle (1965). An algorithm for quasi-order modeling is discussed, and an example is presented, illustrating some of its important features
