The sound object in Flash MX ActionScript enables us to bring dynamic, script-driven sounds into our Flash movies. With the sound object we’re able to play sound effects, songs, looped tracks, voiceovers, and just about anything else that requires dynamic sound. It gives us the ability to start and stop sounds, set their volume and pan, and detect the current position of playback for a current track, as well as use the completion of a sound as a trigger for our animations.
