Data Warehousing provides a mechanism for business professionals to systematically organize, understand and use their data to make strategic decisions. It is an important and effective tool in the present world. In the decision making environment the role of data warehouse is very important. For this decision making environment, the processing time of the queries is a major thing in data warehouse. To improve the processing time different indexing techniques are used. The improvement is based on cardinality, size, processing speed, and disk usage etc. In this context the aim is to determine a comparative study among different indexing techniques based on some defined criteria. This comparison will help us to get the advantages and disadvantages of different indexing techniques and will provide ideas to create new indexing techniques.
