[Formula: see text]–fuzzy acceptors in relationship with formal [Formula: see text]–fuzzy languages and [Formula: see text]–fuzzy grammars are studied, where [Formula: see text] is a bounded chain. Applications of fuzzy linguistic methods in syntactic pattern recognition are described.
