Sampling of Analog Signals
John G. Proakis · 2003
Abstract Analog signals that are transmitted by a digital communication system are converted to digital form by sampling the analog waveforms uniformly at discrete instants in time. This article describes the sampling process for converting lowpass and bandpass analog signals to discrete‐time signals, which can then be quantized and converted to digital form.
