Low-end serial MUC delivers high performance

When a low-end 8-bit serial microcomputer, the MC6804-P2, joins its higher-performance associates, the MC6805-P2 and the MC68705-P3, designers will be able to lower the cost of a system by choosing the 6804 or upgrade the system's performance using the higher-end microcomputers without redesigning hardware or software extensively. This microcomputer sacrifices nothing in speed and capabilities, thanks to a non-Von Neumann architecture, many I/O ports, and a variety of registers.
