H. Degawa, Junji Tanaka, S. Asano, S. Yabuta, S. Nakane · 2005

This paper describes an automobile navigation system which has highly accurate location detection and multiple information sources. It shows the accurate position of the vehicle on a CRT map display which uses a refined map-matching method incorporating a compact rotation sensor vibration gyroscope. The system can also display road information from roadside radio beacons and can calculate and show the route between the current location and the destination by using specific CD-ROM discs.
