Closed loop adaptive antenna for satellite mobile communications

An adaptive antenna has been designed and developed for land mobile communications. The purpose of the close loop antenna reported here has been to obtain a system that allows experiments to evaluate a possible solution to the mobile antenna segment of a mobile-satellite communications system. The work involved in the antenna design, the calibration, tracking algorithms and field test are reported.
