Security Design Issues For Microprocessor-Based Systems

J. M. Gilligan · 2005

This paper examines some representative applications for using microprocessor technology with the intent of identifying potential multilevel security requirements and design approaches for satisfying these requirements with micropro- cessor-based systems. The discussion focuses on design issues that are unique to the development of secure microprocessor-based systems and related difficulties in transferring designs for secure mini- and maxi-based systems to microprocessors.
