We develov a structure theory for regular near 2d-gons.Main results are the existence of sub 2j-gons for 2 :s; j :s; d and the nonexistence of sporadic 2d-gons ford~ 4 withs> l and t 2 >land t 3 ; t 2 (t 2 + 1).
