Some elements on sensitivity of fuzzy controllers

Bernadette Bouchon‐Meunier, F. Gouyou · 2002

One of the most important design problems with regard to robust analysis is to choose fuzzy controller characteristics. To study this problem, we need to get the idea of the sensitivity of each design procedure (membership function shape, fuzzy implication, defuzzification method). To know the sensitivity of a controller is very useful because it expresses its dynamic behavior: on the one hand, we can know, for example, what kind of reactions could have such a system in front of noise, or temporal derives. On the other hand, the sensitivity of a controller in a looped control can be studied independently of the process. This paper presents sensitivity study of a fuzzy controller at several design levels, and shows how this sensitivity is propagated through the system.>
