Electrolytic Conductivity and its Measurement

Frank C. Walsh · Transactions of the IMF · 1992

SUMMARYThe importance of electrical conductivity in electrodes and electrolytes which are used in metal finishing is emphasised. Expressions are provided which define the terms conductance, conductivity and molar electrolytic conductivity. The principles of electrolytic conductivity measurements are explained and applications are briefly considered. The determination of conductivity and molar electrolytic conductivity is illustrated by worked examples.
