Programmable Control Language for building automation

Gwong C. Sun, J. Hooton, K. Kamel · 2003

The authors describe the Programmable Control Language (PCL) which is designed to be a BASIC-like computer language that the user can use to reduce energy consumption in his building complex. The language was designed to be as similar to BASIC as it could be and still incorporate special functions that can be used by the user. The compiler is a two-pass compiler that generates intermediate code which is executed on the PCL processor task. The main part of the system is the Intel 310-35 microcomputer system. The language used to develop the PCL compiler was PL/M-86; the operating system is iRMX-88 Intel. The authors explain the design and implementation of the PCL language and the compiler for the language.>
