A GENETIC PROGRAMMING APPROACH TO DCT WATERMARKING

In this paper, a new approach for the DCT coefficients watermarking method which is commonly used frequency domain watermarking technique is studied. Least meaningful DCT coefficients blocks are specified by using genetic algorithm. The watermarks are embedded into these blocks for minimum distortions. Watermarks, which are generally embedded into middle band frequency coefficients, were embedded into least meaningful DCT coefficients. The SNR (Signal Noise to Ratio) of the proposed method is compared with the classical DCT coefficients methods. The results showing the effectiveness of the proposed method are presented.
