Topology Update In Fault Tolerant Multiconnected Ring Networks

Forward Loop Backward Hop (FLBH) is a fault tolerant topology for local area networks. An algorithm to reconfigure an FLBH network following topology changes is presented. The algorithm guarantees that at all times the network is organized to provide the maximum possible connectivity among nodes - either a single partition encompassing all nodes in the network or several partitions each of them connected.
