Penalty free W-CDMA radio signal transmission over fibre

This paper presents error vector magnitude and bit error rate measurements for the transmission of W-CDMA signals over optical fibre. A prototype W-CDMA test system in combination with a directly modulated optical link has been used to establish the maximum input power bounds for penalty free transmission.
