Performance of rejection filters in DS spread-spectrum systems
Kwok Hung Li, Alex Chichung Kot · 2002
It is well known that the insertion of a linear rejection filter at the receiver improves the performance of a direct-sequence spread-spectrum system against narrow-band interference. The authors consider both the transversal filter and the prediction-error filter, and compute their bit error rates which include the effect of intersymbol interference. From the numerical results obtained, they effectively estimate the tone jammer and minimize its effect in the incoming signal. Also, adding a linear rejection filter to a direct-sequence spread-spectrum system is more effective than increasing the processing gain.>
