Sound source localization in reverberant environments using an outlier elimination algorithm
Ea-Ee Jan, James L. Flanagan · 2002
Differences in the arrival times of acoustic waves at multiple sensors permit computation of the source's location. The computation depends upon delay estimation between sensor pairs. In severe acoustic environments, the estimates are degraded by reverberation and interfering noise, and some estimates are poor, constituting outliers. This report describes a computational method for outlier elimination to improve the accuracy of source location.
