Debugging and Development Cycle

Keir Davis, John W. Turner, Nathan Yocom · Apress eBooks · 2004

Debugging client-server network applications poses some unique challenges. You need to debug not only the programs themselves, but also the communication between them. In this chapter, we will first look at some tools to help with the debugging process. Next, we will address another unique issue with client-server programming: which do you develop first, the client or the server? Then we will examine the overall process of debugging a client-server network application. Finally, we will discuss defensive programming techniques. These keywords were added by machine and not by the authors. This process is experimental and the keywords may be updated as the learning algorithm improves.
