A Two‐Level Recommendation Approach for Document Search
Manel Hmimida, Rushed Kanawati · 2014
This chapter develops a new type of Knowledge Organization System (KOS) based on the tagging of digital documents in organizations. The system, called hypertagging, is mainly based on the principle of faceted classification. The chapter presents an overview of the latest developments in the field of tagging recommender systems. The propagation of a tag depends on its weight within the web page of origin and the similarity between the source and the target web pages. The chapter also presents the context of the work, in particular the hypertagging prototype. It discusses the two-level recommendation approach. The presence of the facet layer enables the filtering of non-pertinent tags. This layer facilitates and accelerates the computation of recommendations between tags. The chapter deals with the experiments of this approach.
