Authorship and Stylistics

Abstract Authorship attribution and stylistics both study the distinctive ways authors write, and, because both authorship and style are chiefly expressed through language, both may be considered subfields of applied linguistics. It is important to acknowledge, however, that neither authorship nor style can be reduced entirely to linguistics.
