ITS TRAINING AND MUTUAL LEARNING

K Mcqueen Chen · 1998

ITS training and mutual learning should go hand in hand. This applies to both trainers and trainees alike, even if the trainers are ITS experts from industrially mature countries and the trainees are from developing countries or economies in transition. This concept has been applied to ITS training in many settings - training in academic institutions, through consulting organizations, and for developing countries. Although the need for mutual learning has been recognized, the fruits of mutual learning must be captured systematically in order for them to be shared effectively. The planning for mutual learning as an integral part of the ITS Awareness Seminar being offered at the 5th ITS World Congress in Seoul is given as an example. For the covering abstract see IRRD E102946.
