Using Python modules in CS0 topics
Peter C. Isaacson · Journal of computing sciences in colleges · 2003
There is a wealth of Python modules for most any normal use. Some of these modules provide easy access for CS0 students to start exploring various topics in a breadth-first Introduction to Computer Science course. For example, the Python socket module allows simple client and server networking applications to be created. Sample methods and/or functions of representative, interesting modules will be demonstrated as examples of what can be done easily with the assistance of Python modules.
