Computer Science Unplugged: K--12 special session

Jeff Lehman · Journal of computing sciences in colleges · 2009

The Computer Science Unplugged project (http://csunplugged.org/), created by Tim Bell, Ian H. Witten, and Mike Fellows is a set of activities that describe fundamental computing concepts using games and puzzles. The activities do not use computers, rather they employ classroom items like paper, pencil, chalk, and string. The activities are designed for K-12 students, but are appropriate for all ages. Each activity contains background information, hands-on exercises, and a conclusion section titled What's it all about explaining the relevance to computer science.
