This paper addresses the topology design aspects for multihop Free Space Optics (FSO) network. It discusses the factors and approaches that are to be considered while planning topology for multihop FSO mesh network. The problem of designing a topology with strong connectivity and short diameter with uniform degree bounds on each node are discussed. Two meshing approaches are presented. The first approach constructs a backbone network by Delaunay triangulation. The formed structure can then be refined to meet the design objective. The second approach called Voronoi point insertion is basically a point insertion approach used for optimizing the node positions and topology planning.
