On Order Dependencies for the Semantic Web

Abstract. We consider the problem of adding both equality and order generating dependencies to Web ontology languages such as OWL DL that are based on description logics. Such dependencies underlie a number of problems that relate, for example, to web service composition, to document ordering, and to lower level algorithmic issues in service plan generation and evaluation. 1
