The analysis of materialization process effectiveness strategies in AXML-based distributed systems
Marcin Marczewski · 2013
Active XML (AXML) is a powerful framework for data integration in a distributed, peer-to-peer environment. In AXML documents information can be presented extensionally or intentionally by embedding calls to local or remote Web services. Invoking such a call to a Web service and replacing its call definition by the data returned from that service is called materialization. In this paper various strategies for materialization processes and their impact on effectiveness of AXML systems are analyzed. Considerations are justified by examples.
