Comparison of broadband intelligent network signalling architectures

In this paper we compare different distributed intelligent network signalling architectures based on broadband transmission and switching. As a result of the comparison we choose one example architecture, where we specify the broadband equivalents of Service Switching Point (B-SSP) and Service Control Point (B-SCP) . The protocols for user signalling and broadband application part as well as the service distribution architecture are discussed. With the proposed Broadband Intelligent Network Signalling Architecture an example interactive multimedia service is concepted and analyzed.
